PROJECT PROPOSAL
Project title: SELĀH.
Project type: Journalistic
Concept: SELĀH Magazine is much more than a magazine – it is a movement. A collective of faith and minimalism-inspired written and visual stories reflecting on identity, purpose and life, shown through the lens of fashion & lifestyle.
SELĀH. was born out of an iteration process of a previous print publication I created for my BA (Hons) fashion journalism final major project. I took all the research and feedback, and added it to the new research to create SELĀH.. And although this project was for a journalism degree, it still incorporated a lot of UX/UI and art direction design processes - from research all the way to final prototype.
In SELĀH. you will find a range of shopping pages, feature articles, interviews, photo shoots and photo stories, as well as illustrated poems and interactive elements.
One of the major aspects of the creation of SELĀH. came from the many collaborations that took place. From photographers to stylists, make-up artists to retouchers and illustrators to poets - I wanted SELĀH. to echo the many great creative minds within those respective fields, which would also essentially represent SELĀH.'s target readership.
